We got a lovely win under our belts in the first match of the new season. Derbyshire had taken an impressive 20 frames off us last year, but in a match we were expected to win, it was important to get as many frames as possible. We reached the winning post in the third round with captain Chris Kirk leading from the front winning 4/4 along with Sarah Day. But it was my good self who was awarded with the player of the match trophy after also taking maximum frames. Nicola Ball made a welcome return to the team winning 3/4, along with Helen & Teresa.
It will be a big test next match when we travel to Staffordshire, but first we have a trip to Great Yarmouth to look forward to with the National Ladies singles and 2 teams in the ladies inter-league ko cup representing Leicestershire!
