A disastrous day for the Ladies against former National champions Staffs saw us only reaching double figures in the final leg. Leicestershire's bare 11 couldn't seem to do anything to stop the opposition in their tracks as they reached the winning post in round 3. We showed spirit towards the end taking the last leg 6-5 but never came close to pushing for the victory as we did last season.

Star player Charlene Gibson won an outstanding 4 out of 4 and the player of the match award. Chris Kirk and Teresa Blair each scored 2 from 4.

I only managed 1/4 again this match, I was thrilled to beat Karen Tomkinson who is consistently one of the best players in R3. I had a chance in my second but rattled my last red and landed perfectly on the black for my opponent to knock in. My third I gave away a silly foul snooker, and my fourth I didn't really get a chance.

ladies tour

Tour 2:
6/7th May, Peterborough

Another disappointing tour for me... I haven't been at my best potting form for a while now and that coupled with a few poor shot selections led to a 5-0 defeat by Dawn Woodcock. I won my first plate leg but then ended up losing that match 4-1 as well, I think my head went a bit to be honest!

I have drawn England International Leisa Conlin in the next event at Chatham in July which is another tough draw, especially as it's at 9.30am!! I need to get my confidence up before then and play like I know I can.
