Leicestershire ladies started the day in prime position to go top of the Region 3 table with Staffs having a bye, but Shropshire were to be no pushover... they took the first round 7-4 and continued to pull away throughout the remaining legs to clinch a crushing victory.
Chris Kirk scored highest with 3 from 4, and Sam Biddlecombe, Helen Turner, Carolyn Bowkett and Charlene Gibson all took 2, but with more than half of the squad scoring under 50% this was a disappointing day for the team.
I managed somehow to win player of the match although I'm not sure why considering I only won 1 out of 4, and was slightly embarrassed by it. Really disappointed with my performance... I should have at least had another 2 but missed blacks in both!!
