Tour 5: The grand final

Plate: (Last 16) Final: Lyndsey Roberts 5-1 Julie Fane
There are no easy draws on the tour, but I knew I was up against it vs Lyndsey Roberts as being from the same region I know how good she is. I didn't start off well and she took a 4-1 lead, but I dug my heels in and took advantage of a few missed balls from Lyndz to pull it back. It went to the deciding frame, I was in pole position after she went in off the break and came out with the 5-4 win! It was a blessing in disguise for Lyndz though as she went on to win the plate!!
I had my friend Helen Littlewood in R2. I found the first frame a bit weird to be honest as I'd not had to play a good mate before... H was playing excellent pool and I missed a few crucial balls. The final scoreline was 5-0 to H, I was a bit disappointed not to get a frame or 2 on the board after such a good win in R1, but Helen deserved to go through!
I beat 14th seed Kim O'Brien 4-2 in R2 of the plate before meeting Dawn Woodcock in the last 16. We had a great match and it went right to the wire, with Dawn coming out with the 4-3 win.
I was really happy with how I played though this weekend and with a provisional ranking of 42 for next year, the only way is up!!
