This was the first match of the new season against our other Lady Jane team who now go by Lady Jane A! I had a great game and won against Shaun, who is a good player, but his pocket covering shot didn't quite come off and he let me in. I had already potted 2 from my first visit and the rest were all in good positions except the black, so I went for it, nudged the black out when potting my second last ball, and finished leaving Shaun with 7 balls on the table! What a nice way to start the season!
We were 3-2 down after the singles but played well in both doubles though and got a good 4-3 win. There were so many times last season that we lost 4-3 in the same situation and that's why we ended up having to play off! This season will be different though I'm sure.
I'm keeping a book of averages for our team in the singles this season as I am quite interested to keep a record of how I'm playing.
